Race Day! Logistics, timing & more:

If you are a Racer (Registered & Paid):

How do I get to the course? Enter through Millstream Parkway (see map below) and unload in the Wall Street Parking Lot (Bowen sand volleyball courts). An organizer will greet you and provide additional instructions. You will NOT be able to access the course from Bowen Rd or Bradley Street.
Where do I park? If space permits you can park in the Bowen sand volleyball courts parking lot. If the lot is full, we’ll have you drop your cart and find alternate parking (within Bowen Park, on Bowen Rd side streets, etc)
What time do I need to arrive? Between 8:30 and 9:15 to complete your registration, go through cart safety inspection, and obtain your racing number (to be attached to your cart).
Racer Safety Meeting (9:30ish): organizers will walk through the day’s plans and provide instructions to all racers.
What is the racing schedule? Qualifying races will start at 10 am sharp and run until noon. We will have a 1/2 hr break for lunch (concession available in the Curling Rink Parking Lot). Top 8 in both divisions (Stock & Open) will then be asked to go to finals (12:30-1:30ish). Awards at the base of the hill will follow, with the event being over around 2pm’ish.
How many races will I get? Each racer will get a minimum of 3 races within qualifying. If time permits, we will run more. Those moving to finals will get additional races.
What time will I actually race at? There are no set times for racers. 2 carts, regardless of class (stock or open), will race at a time on a first-come, first-served basis. Each racer’s time is recorded, and the fastest times are used to determine who goes onto the final.
What happens if I need to leave before the event is over? Please just let someone know at the timing tent, which is at the finishing line.

If you are Vendor (Concession):

How do I get to the concession area? Enter through Millstream Parkway (see map below). An organizer will greet you and help you cross over into the Curling Rink parking lot, where you can set up your tent and park your vehicle for the day. You will NOT be able to access the course from Bowen Rd or Bradley Street.
What time do I need to arrive? Between 8:30 and 9:15. Entrance to the Curling Rink Parking lot will NOT be permitted after 9:30!
Where do I set up in the Curling Rink Parking lot? An event organizer will be there to provide additional instruction and there are no assigned areas or reserved spots. First come, first served.
Is there power available? Power connections are limited, and unless you have already made arrangements with organizers, it will NOT be available.
